Battery Energy Storage System Dimensioning for Reducing the Fixed Term of the Electricity Access Rate in Industrial Consumptions

Industrial buildings account for very few high peaks of power demand. This situation forces them to contract a fixed electricity term cover it. A more intelligent use the energy in industrial buildings, together with an improved efficiency transmission and distribution along electric grid, can be achieved by reducing peak consumption buildings. Energy storage systems, lithium ion (Li-ion) batteries particular, are one most promising technologies this consumption. However, selecting proper Li-ion battery requires dimensioning process terms which is not straightforward. paper proposes methodology that takes into consideration both technical economic implications, applies it case example real data commercial battery. Results show implementing lead cost–benefit improvement.
